The imagery was also inspired by the transient nature of hotels. Transmigrations—the passage of souls or consciousness from one realm to another, is meant to evoke the temporal nature of staying at a hotel, a place guests pass through without ever fully inhabiting.

The 112-room Downtown Grand Hotel in Las Vegas features a narrow courtyard with a series of large-scale Tekinetic Murals.
The hotel's architecture—with the majority of the hotel's rooms looking out onto a blank wall—helped inspire the mural design. The closeness of the rooms to the wall meant that each guest would only see a portion of the entire artwork. This became the project's defining design concept: create an intentionally fragmented mural that tells a story in parts and pieces, forever maintaining a sense of mystery and surprise.
